We were there at the mall about 12noon. The crowded was there for the Yee Sang tossing event. Not only that we also see a lot of lions out there.
We brought the kids out to see the lions. Needless to say they are very happy. But the lion dance performance had actually ended.
The longest Yee Sang tossing organised by the Prime Minister's department. Pavilion KL was one of the venue hosts. Yan Yan spotted the pink lion.
A 977-meter long and 60 cm in width “yee sang”
The Yee Sang listed as the longest Yee Sang by the Malaysia Book of Records. But the food ended up wasted like this just to break the record.
The clowns and god of fortune were there to for giveaways angpao.
Finally we get to watch the Acrobatic Lion Dance performance at 3pm.

Ooo...it was a great event.
Did the kids had fun in tossing the Yee Sang?
From the pic, it looked like not many ppl is it, as compared inside the mall.
wow...what a fun day.
The kids are very brave. some kids dare not touch the lions
I read this in newspaper. Didn't know you were there.
Yes, saw the longest yee sang in the papers .. must be very fun that day..
what happen to the yee sang after all the tossing?
Looks like a fun day though :D
Wonderful event, the yee sang really LONG!
We did not have a chance to see lion dance not until the 15th day! haha
so colourful! so much food wasted for the sake of getting in the world record...sigh
Very good event......
At least you got the chance to "lou" the longest yee sang. Just too bad that the leftovers all ended up in the tong sampah. We did not see or hear any lion dance in Shanghai, not even 1! I find it strange that this culture is not practiced here.
Yeah, I read about the wasted yee sang. Really waste of the Rakyat's tax money!! Did you and your kids try the yee sang?
Gwen was very lucky to watch lion dance performance here at my parents house. Wah what a great experience tossing the world's longest Yee sang.
Health Freak Mummy, no lah, we didn't try the yee sang... Just 'lou' for fun..
