KL Bird Park

How was your Raya + Merdeka Day holidays? We didn't go anywhere far as we were afraid of jams, worried every where is packed with people.
We did went to the mall, went out to eat and went to a relative's full moon party and we also went to KL Bird Park!! What made us planned for a day trip to KL Bird Park??
Well, it was all started with the Rio DVD I bought from Speedy. There is a complimentary KL Bird Park entry ticket for kid inside the packing. The kids love the movie so  much and watch it almost everyday though they have first watched it in the cinema. So we went to KL Bird Park on 30th Aug to utilize the free ticket. The ticket was printed with some of the pictures of the characters which you could find in the Rio movie. It is actually a bit misleading especially for kids. Yan Yan thought she gonna meet Blu!!  She was quite disappointing after the visit and told me why the birds cant talk like what she saw in the movie. She even asked me why she could not find the bulldog, the Luiz who has a medical condition of drooling in the movie. But she loves the bird show!

Anywhere, it was good to expose the kids to the World's Largest Free-Flight Walk-in Aviary.

The 5 entrance stripes. We get one free entrance from the Rio DVD coupon. We bought another two adult tickets and get two free child tickets by present my HSBC credit card.
First we were greeted by some cute birdies from the love aviary.

Wonder this birdies are Indian Ring Necked Parakeets or Sun Conure??
Birdies from the love aviary.

We manage to catch the hornbill feeding time. I thought we can feed the hornbill. I was wrong. Only the zookeepers did it. They fed other birds too :)

The hornbill.

The birds waiting for their meal time.

Entah apa bird ...

The kids wanted to feed the fish too.

Okay, here are some of the pics we took inside the world of parrots mini aviary. It was one of the highlight of the day too, feeding the lories.

This gentleman is so smart to feed the lories with Conetto!! All lories eyed on his Conetto and didnt want the food we bought for the birds earlier.

But he was kind enough to pass the Conetto to hubby and there we had our sweet time to feed the lories.

Heng Heng trying to feed the lories with the Conetto.
This pic is awesome right??

Next was Yan Yan's turn.

The best was hubby, I think the lories loves him more. See so many lories landed on his hand.

Heng Heng tried to cuddle the birdie.

Aiyo, I don't know what made him so funny :)

Finally daddy get a birdie laid on Yan Yan's hand. We were just so bad, keep pestering Yan Yan to let the birdie stayed on her hand. She was scared actually, lol.

They are so many lories here..

See, this is the food that they don't eat. All they want is just the Conetto!!

We get enough of feeding the lories and we passed the Conetto to others. We continue to walk to the waterfall aviary.

The ostrich.

The peacock.

Yan Yan was wearing her flamingo short from Gymboree to see the flamingoes :)

The flamingo pond.

The close up.

We saw a tree full of stocks.

The flying stock.
Can you spot the stocks on the tree?

We manage to watch the bird show before we left the park.

James, my nephew tagged along with us :)

KL Bird Park is indeed a good place to visit where you can get to discover the exciting world of feathered friends.

This park looks nice and educative :)

I think Heng Heng was tickled by the bird's grips and Yan Yan wasn't comfortable with a bird on her arm :p

The best part for the kids must be the lories feeding session! It's really interesting to see them come close and they really are very colourful birds too!
