Fried Pork Fillet

I bought some pork fillet ( 假梅肉)  from the wet market a week ago. So I fried some pork fillet last Wednesday. It was quite easy and time consuming is only half an hour! Before hand I already got the butcher to slice the fillet for me.

Some more I get my hub to help me a little bit while I was rushing back to prepare the dinner. I sms-ed him to help me marinate the fillet with some soy sauce.

Reached home and I found out we have no eggs at home. Too lazy to go out to buy the eggs so we substitute it with duck egg ( yeah, we have salted duck egg at home. )

Method :
1. Marinate the pork fillet for 10 minutes or more.
2. Next, dip the pork fillet in a bowl of beaten eggs ( in this case we used the salted egg white) , then dip them in a bowl of flour.
3. Shallow fry the pork fillet until they turn into golden brown color ( like what is shown in the above picture)

The pork fillet tastes good!

I like it more by sprinkle some fresh lemon juice over the pork fillet, it is delish!!!

Looks very yummy! Was your pork chop a bit hard and rough? Did you use the blunt end of the knife to chop the pork fillet first b4 frying? I find that my pork chops are normally quite rough and I have to marinate the pork with some corn flour to make it tender.

Merryn, I don't know if you can use this recipe to substitute with fish fillet or not.. You try and let me know ok :)

Mummy Gwen, not pan fry.. I use shallow fried which is not that much oil needed compare to deep fried.

Health Freak Mommy, mine one is tender, not rough at all.. I didnt chop the fillet. I asked the butcher what meat to buy and he recommend this pork fillet ( Ka Mui Yok ) to me. You can try ask your butcher and see, ka mui yok is the the part of the pork meat that is more tender and soft.
