Adding Eggs to Heng Heng's Diet

Yesterday I cooked a new porridge recipe for Heng Heng, pumpkin egg porridge with 'ikan bilis'. This was the first time I added egg to his diet. In fact, he has tried eating eggs ( few bites only) before from the adults food.

Eggs, particularly the egg whites, are one of the top 8 of all allergens. Hence it is probably best to wait until after 12 months old to introduce eggs to Heng Heng.

Heng Heng is eating his first egg porridge at 14 months. Hopefully Heng Heng will not have an allergic reaction to eggs.

The pumpkin egg porridge with 'ikan bilis' is very rich in the taste of egg, maybe it could be the reason I added the whole egg in the porridge. But Heng Heng managed to finish the whole plate of porridge.

Hopefully he doesn't hv any reactions towards eggs, then it makes food preparation for him much easier. Sometimes I don't put meat in my boy's meal, jes egg with vege in rice/porridge/noodles.
